Driver Age
The minimum driver age is 21 years.
Driving Licence
The driver must hold a valid driving licence for at least one (1) year. Greek driving licences, European Union driving licences, and International Driving Permits for drivers from countries outside the European Union are accepted.
Payment Method
The renter must present a valid credit or debit card to cover the security deposit and the total rental cost.
Security Deposit
Upon vehicle collection, a security deposit will be blocked on the driver's credit or debit card. The security deposit amount is equal to the insurance excess applicable to the selected vehicle category, as specified under the "Liability Waiver" section. The security deposit will be released at the end of the rental, provided that no additional charges arise. The release of the blocked amount may take up to fourteen (14) days, depending on the card issuing bank.
Fines and Traffic Violations
All fines, administrative penalties and any related charges resulting from the driver's fault shall be borne exclusively by the renter.
Insurance
All vehicles are covered by Third Party Liability Insurance for death, bodily injury and property damage, in accordance with the applicable legislation. Fire damage coverage is also included.
Liability Waiver
The renter's liability for damage to the rented vehicle may be limited, provided that the Greek Traffic Code and the terms of the rental agreement have not been violated, by paying an additional charge of …€ per rental day. This coverage does not include damage to the underside of the vehicle or the wheels.

Theft Protection
Theft Protection is an optional service. If accepted, the renter may limit their liability in the event of the total theft of the rented vehicle to …€, by paying an additional …€ per rental day.
Super Cover
By selecting Super Cover and paying …€ per rental day, the renter is fully released from their financial responsibility in the event of theft or accident involving the rented vehicle. This coverage does not include damage to the underside of the vehicle or the wheels.
Accident Administration Fee
In the event of an accident, an Accident Administration Fee of …€ will be charged, regardless of fault. This amount is non-refundable.
Traffic Fine Administration Fee
In the event of a traffic fine resulting from a violation of the Greek Traffic Code, a Traffic Fine Administration Fee of …€ will be charged. This amount is non-refundable.
Additional Driver
An additional driver may be added at a charge of …€ per day for each additional driver.
Airport Delivery and Collection

Additional Cleaning Charge

Fuel Policy
The vehicle must be returned with the same amount of fuel as it had at the time of collection.
Refuelling Service Charge

Vehicle Category Changes
The company reserves the right, subject to availability, to provide a vehicle different from the one originally booked, provided that it belongs to the same or a higher vehicle category.
Vehicle Collection and Return
Vehicle collection and return take place at the company's premises unless otherwise agreed. A delay in returning the vehicle exceeding … hours from the agreed return time will incur an additional charge of …€.
Cross-Border Travel
Taking the vehicle outside the borders of Greece is permitted only with the prior written approval of Mare Car Rental.
Ferry Transport
Transporting the vehicle by ferry is permitted only with the prior written approval of Mare Car Rental and provided that the renter has accepted the optional "Ferry Transport Coverage". Otherwise, the renter shall be fully responsible for any damage caused to the rented vehicle during ferry transportation, regardless of any insurance coverages or liability limitations accepted and paid for at the commencement of the rental.
